Saree Care & Maintenance

To ensure your SareePlus Gallery collection lasts for generations, please follow these care instructions:

• First Wash: Dry Clean Only is highly recommended to preserve the “Pattu” sheen and the gold zari.

• Ironing: Always use a Low Heat setting. Iron on the reverse side (back of the saree) or place a thin cotton cloth over the saree while ironing to protect the delicate buttis.

• Storage: Store the saree in a breathable cotton bag or wrap it in a soft muslin cloth. Avoid using plastic covers, as they can trap moisture and darken the zari.

• Refolding: Every 3 months, take the saree out and change the folding lines. This prevents the silk fibers from “breaking” or cracking along the sharp folds.

• Perfumes: Avoid spraying perfume directly onto the fabric or zari, as the chemicals can cause permanent staining or discoloration.
